End of the Calleman calendar - An open letter to Carl Johann Calleman

As we are approaching to the 28th of October, 2011, people who have heard of Carl Johann Calleman and his Mayan end date theory are getting excited. With the accurate prediction of 2008 financial crisis, the current deepened fears about a global financial collapse, Wall Street occupation and other big social movements worldwide, it looks like Calleman with all his theories about the global change and the end of the Mayan calendar are looking accurate. Over the years he gained a lot of credit by claiming that the changes that the Mayan calendar foresees are not about some cosmic event but mainly on about the shift of the consciousness of humanity. However his end date lately gained some more interest with the coincidence of coming of the two comets (Elenin and Honda) and seems like Calleman is not refusing to enjoy the increasing number of his followers due to this cosmic coincidence.

On the other hand, he seemed to be supported by the Maya themselves, with the famous staff that he received in March 2011. He is known as perhaps the only Mayan calendar expert that praises and protects the Mayan people, instead of abusing their culture, like Jose Arguelles. However for someone who has a nature to question things and does a bit of a research it seems as “the King is naked”. With more of his predictions that are missing the target than the ones which are coming true, it seems like what is approaching is not the end of the Mayan Calendar, but the end of the Calleman Calendar.

The above statements of mine are not depending on any emotional or imaginative opinion but rather on scientific questioning, an approach which Calleman always praises. He has rational theories and empirical presentations, therefore my questions to him will be in the same style. These are the questions that Carl Johann Calleman needs to answer to be able to continue with his ride, still with dignity, trust and truthfulness.

So here are the questions:

1) In your articles in 2009 you have foreseen some specific events for the beginning of the sixth night, beginning of the seventh day and the end of the seventh day of the Galactic Underworld. According to these by November 7, 2009, there should have been be a collapse of the US dollar, by November 3, 2010 there should have been a collapse of the hierarchies and by October 28, 2011 there will be the end of evolution, emergence of the so-called sustainable, advanced “Garden of Eden”. 2) Also, do you still foresee that by October 28, 2011, which is only in 22 days the “Garden of Eden” would emerge? If not, and if you believe that there would be delays in the so called Divine plan, why do you still fuss about risks of believing that the end of the Mayan calendar is December 21, 2012?

3) Considering all of these, how can your support your claim that December 21, 2012 is the false end date of the calendar, but your October 28, 2011 is true?

4) Concerning your research on the previous Underworlds you always came with specific and accurate manifestations of the energies of the 13 heavens. Like the evolution of writing in the National Underworld and the evolution of telecommunications in the Planetary Underworld. You demonstrated how a seed of consciousness evolves through the seven days of the relevant Underworld and reaches a mature fruit state in the seventh day. You provided exact timings of exact events for every step of evolution. (http://calleman.com/content/13_heavens.htm) Could you please do the same for the 9th wave, with exact events and times that follow a logical pattern of the same consciousness form evolving from seed to fruit?

5) Lately you mentioned that the current solar flares and their effects on the collective human consciousness are somehow in alignment with the 9th wave of the Mayan calendar. But a prediction of increased social events and revolutions depending on increased solar activity would already be made depending on the research of Russian scientist Chizhevsky, founder of “heliobiology” (study of the sun’s effect on biology). About one hundred years ago he discovered the correlation between the solar cycles and mass human activity. Almost all of the social revolutions and big conflicts happen in the solar maximum periods which come every 11 years, such as 1776-1783: American Revolution, 1788-1791: French Revolution, 1914-1918: First World War, 1917: Russian Revolution, 1939: Beginning of World War II, 1967-69: Czechoslovakian uprising/USSR invasion, Woodstock and height of hippy movement, first big anti-war marches in US, 1989: Revolution in Eastern Bloc, dismantling of Berlin Wall, 1989-1992: Glasnost process, Communist Party coup in Russia fails, The Gulf War, 2001: Attack on World Trade Center and Pentagon; War on Terrorism begins. Needless to say, big solar flares happen during the solarmax. So what is your supporting evidence for claiming that all these seemingly big (but ordinary from a historical overview) current world events are only a result of solarmax and nothing to do with 9th wave?

6) You also argue that by 28 October 2011, the 260 days calendar of the Maya, the Tzolkin, is going to end. Are you aware that you are the only one on this planet that argues so? No other Mayan calendar researcher has such a finding. And although the Mayan elders agree that there will be the end of the 13 baktuns of the Long Count calendar, they say the Tzolkin rounds will go on uninterruptedly. Because the Tzolkin represents the creation and the creation never stops. What is your evidence for supporting this claim of yours?

7) You declared that you received a ceremonial staff from the Mayan and other indigenous Mexican elders in recognition of your work to spread the Mayan calendar knowledge to the world. (http://calleman.com/content/articles/ceremonial_staff.htm) When we look at the cultural aspects of the ceremony, the staff and the clothing of the people, it is obvious that it is of an Aztec origin, but not of Mayan origin. Could you please tell me which Mayan elder recognized you in this way?

8) In one of your articles you declare that Don Alejandro Oxlaj, leader of the National Mayan Council of Elders of Guatemala, refuses the December 21, 2012 date as the end of the Mayan calendar. (http://www.calleman.com/content/articles/risk_of_2012.htm) But could you provide any proof that he accepts the October 28, 2011 as the end of the Long Count calendar?

9) When you released the DVD version of the interview (The Mayan New Dawn) that you have done with Don Alejandro, did you get a permission to do so?

10) While you support your claims with quotes from Don Alejandro, why don’t you ever mention when he says that the true end date is lost to the Mayas, and it could be 2015, or 2012 or anytime soon? (http://www.youtube.com/user/shiftoftheages#p/u/2/vcaez8jn2Zg)
